Ruth Thorkelson drives innovative solutions to complex policy challenges.

 

An experienced public affairs and communications professional, Ruth has thirty years of public policy experience, fueled by data-driven advocacy that turns insights into persuasive messaging which enables successful public policy outcomes.

 

While in the office of the Minister of Finance and then Prime Minister, Ruth advanced key public policy goals, led parliamentary affairs and managed politically sensitive policy and communications challenges. In the private sector, she crafted and executed successful communications strategies for Canada’s retail and forestry sectors.

 

Ruth holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Alberta and McGill, and a master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Calgary.
