Dan Duguay, B.Sc.A., M.Eng

Mr. Dan Duguay is a Principal with TACTIX with more than 10 years experience in telecommunications and wireless communications, including senior leadership roles in optical and wireless communications, semiconductor manufacturing and photonics. Mr. Duguay also spent over a decade working for the Government of Canada where he held the role of Executive Vice President of the Communications Research Centre, the Government of Canada’s leading wireless technology research institute.

Dan led the Government of Canada’s efforts to formally allocate spectrum for public safety broadband which was announced in the Canada’s 2015 Budget. He completed his government career as Director General of Engineering, Planning and Standards housed within the Spectrum, Information Technology and Telecommunications Sector at Industry Canada, where he led the Government’s efforts related to international spectrum coordination including ITU engagements, domestic spectrum planning, Canada-US cross-border coordination, wireless equipment certification and enforcement, and as well as overseeing of Canada’s satellite licensing activities.
