Paul S. Hillier
Risk Communications Consultant
Paul S. Hillier joined the Tactix team in 2013. He specializes in risk communication and has been praised as a “level headed crisis manager”. Drawing on his program management background in the private and not-for-profit sectors, he delivers operational planning advice to strategic thinkers.
Paul previously managed the research portfolio at Canada’s oldest defence and security think tank, where he directed a team of a dozen policy analysts. Research output increased exponentially during his tenure.
With his own company Paul has worked on multiple RFPs, contributed to the writing of winning bids on government service contracts, delivered contracted research and analysis for private-sector and government clients, and taught courses to numerous government departments.
An active contributor to various media outlets, Paul has been a CBC media commentator as well as the author of academic publications.
A native Albertan, Paul obtained his M.A. from Queen’s University with a thesis focused on supply chain risk management. He is also a recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Paul continues to serve in Canadian Armed Forces army reserves. Building on eight years of experience as an infantryman, Paul is currently training with the army in the field of Influence Activities and Psychological Operations.
