With more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors, Jill Fairbrother understands the forces that shape reputation and move people to support brands, campaigns and leaders. Much of her work has involved stakeholder engagement, issues management and risk communications regarding regulated products in the agriculture, consumer packaged goods and pharmaceutical sectors.
Jill Fairbrother has held senior leadership positions with two of the world’s leading public relations agencies and served as Spokesperson and Director of Communications to the Leader of the Official Opposition in Ottawa. She founded her own practice, FPI Communications, in 2001. Her political passion has led to involvement in many provincial and federal campaigns. Jill also dedicates time to Nutrients for Life, a charitable foundation devoted to helping people understand the role fertilizer plays in helping to feed the world.
Jill’s career in communications began with the Government of Ontario. She is an Honours Graduate of the Public Relations Program at Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology, and is certified in Nutrition Communications through the Tufts School of Nutrition and Ketchum Public Relations. She also holds a certificate in Research and Analytics from the Canadian Marketing Association.
